Sex In Space -Join The 250 Mile High Club

Imagine joining the mile-high club. But, going much much higher.

People have been having sex in space for a long time.

Between “Star Trek” and the movie “Passengers,” sex in space has been happening in science fiction for years. But — what about in REAL life?

NASA Says Space Shagging Will Be A Thing:

NASA categorically insists: no way, no how! They say “no humans have had sex in space.” That could change soon with the new influx of space tourism.

Private space firms like Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin and Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic are now offering regular people the chance to venture into space — for a hefty price because it is NOT cheap to have sex in space. Sounds like Las Vegas!

I joke but David Cullen, professor of Bioanalytical Technology at Cranfield University, is calling for fast research into sex in space, according to the Daily Mail. Cause you know this is gonna be a thing.

Has This Happened (On the Record):

In an article for The Conversation Cullen wrote, “My colleagues and I believe that space tourism companies haven’t adequately prepared for the consequences of people joining what we could call the “Kármán line club.” The ‘Kármán line is a boundary 62 miles above sea level that marks the beginning of space. OR, the “250 mile high club.”

No — NASA doesn’t explicitly ban sex in space, but astronaut code of conduct calls for “relationships of trust” and “professional standards” to be maintained at all times. That’s for the REAL astronauts. But, what about a honeymoon in space? Or anniversaries?

The space agency has banned any married couples from going into space together. But this is mostly due to group dynamics and not worrying about them having sex.

Despite all of this, Professor Cullen claims that sex in space will happen within the next decade (insert eyes wide open emoji here).

Microgravity Might Slow Your Swerve:

Since space travel is no longer just for real astronauts, the bigwigs are sure that in-space sex will probably happen within the next 10 years. But it won’t be easy.

The main issue is microgravity, which would make it tricky for the astronauts to *ahem* stay close. Also, blood circulation is affected and could make it difficult for a man to — well — get excited. Hello, SPACE VIAGRA!

Will there Be Space Babies:

Space tourism flights are expected to last days to weeks, so yes — reproduction could happen in space. And that could be dangerous. Even a day or two of the radiation up there could harm a fertilized egg and possibly cause issues.

Pre-spaceflight classes with space tourists about the risks of human conception in space and legal waivers would be important if human conception was to happen.

Knocking Space Boots:

Bottom line: Knocking space boots WILL happen, but it’s going to take a lot of work, and classes, and paperwork to join the 250 mile high club!

Baby Boomer Complaints that younger generations agree with – what?

Younger people are always finding something wrong with the generations that came before them. You did it, I did it – I think we’re actually required to blame the ‘before us’ generation for everything that’s wrong.

Some Of The Generational Agreements:

Boomers, and younger generations agree on several things. Like, remember when we had actual physical knobs, buttons, and dials on things?

Your oven should not be a touch screen. nor should your washer and dryer. Younger gens think buttons should still be on phones. There should be radio and temp control knobs in cars. Touch screens do not need to be on everything. It’s not cool anymore!

Boomers Would Probably Agree That Younger Generations Got These Right:

I’ll be the first to admit that there are several things that Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z got right. Alphas, take note:

Eating weed, instead of smoking it, seems to be the thing now. Bisexuality is accepted, which greatly increases your chances of sexy time this weekend. And FINALLY – not judging people by the color of their skin, gender, or sexual preference, but instead by the content of their old social media posts.

Here are 10 things Boomers, Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z DO seem to agree on.

1. Always Bring Something With You To a Get Together
Always bringing something with you to a small get together, house warming, holiday party, etc. Don’t just just show up empty handed and still drink their booze and eat their food. We’ve lost our manners in this regard. Even if it’s just flowers, a bottle of wine, a store-bought dessert, fine – you contributed.

Yep, we’ve all gotten lazy, and have less time. If we can’t find parking – see ya!

3. I Don't Want To Do Everything Online?
One person in this discussions said, “I live in a place where internet connection is kind of bad most of the time and I usually have to fill out any forms at least twice because I lose connection. I’d rather just go and do the paperwork by hand, but nope – not allowed anymore. Gotta do everything online.”

Concerts should absolutely start on time! There are bands whose whole schtick is to make it a point of being arrogant, and starting an hour – at least – late. Really not fun standing crammed next to other people – who are now angry, because they have been waiting so long.

7. Ghosting Sucks!
Ghosting stinks. I get things fade out sometimes, but don’t just go radio silent on someone you’ve been talking to. I get sometimes you think you’re saving their feelings by not saying ‘I don’t like you like that,’ but that’s so much better than not knowing. Don’t be rude!

Service animals, ok, but no pets in stores. One Buzzfeed post read: “I was in a crowded store this weekend and a woman was walking around with a Great Dane. There was no indication that he was a service animal of any kind. If anyone looked at her funny, she would say ‘he’s allowed to be in here.’ I heard her telling someone that he just loves to go shopping! I’m sure he was a gentle giant, but it was visibly making some people very uncomfortable.” Not to mentions allergies, and animals that react – because you just never know.
