Our Executive Producer, Morty, being from Hawaii was a totally different story. He’s name would have been “Tiny A Ki A Ki”. Not sure how you would spell that correctly in Hawaiian, but close enough.

Olivia remains the most popular for girls in Nevada. Famous starlets like actress Olivia Wilde and singer Olivia Rodrigo most definitely contributed to the popularity of this name. Which, according to thebump.com, is nature-inspired and of Latin origin. Meaning “olive tree” but also “peace”.

Again, the boys names haven’t changed much from the last few years. Noah remains the second most-popular boy name in Nevada. Actor Noah Wyle is the most-famous name that inspires this choice. Of Hebrew origin, it means “peaceful”, according to thebump.com.
We do see a change this year when it comes to girl names. Sophia, which wasn’t on Nevada’s top five list last year, is now the second most-popular name for a girl. It was on the top-ten list nationally, but has made its way over to the Silver State’s top five. Of Greek origin, according to thebump.com, this name means “wisdom”.

The third most-popular boy name is Nevada is Mateo, which is the Spanish form of Matthew. It was the third most-popular name last year as well for boys. According to thebump.com, however, the Latin-origin name means “Gift Of God”.
For a girl, the third most popular name in Nevada this year is Luna. Climbing up from the number four spot in Nevada last year. The name, per the bump.com, is of Latin origin and means “moon”.

Coming in at number four for boys in Nevada (and climbing from number five last year) is Sebastian. This name of Greek origin means “revered”, according to thebump.com. There aren’t a lot of famous, modern people with this name Sebastian. However, considering two very famous musicians, Sebastian Bach (yes, he was born Sebastian) and Johann Sebastian Bach have the name, it’s a good choice for parents expecting their little one to have musical talent.
