Barry Manilow Accepts A Lifetime Las Vegas Residency
On Tuesday, Dec. 3, Barry Manilow, 81, accepted a lifetime residency at the Westgate Resort & Casino’s International Theater in Las Vegas. Yes, the same theater that Elvis performed in way back when.
I know the history of Las Vegas pretty well. My own father’s group performed in Las Vegas, on the strip, and downtown for decades. I don’t believe there has ever been a lifetime residency in Las Vegas. So this, as they say in the news business – is unprecedented. I know he’s not a kid, but still – a big deal!
In a statement from PR Newswire, Manilow said, “It’s been an incredible journey performing at the International Theater.” David Siegel and the Westgate team have been like family to me, and I am deeply grateful to have the opportunity to call Westgate home for the rest of my career.”
Barry Manilow celebrated his lifetime residency on Instagram, and Twitter/X, with a post that said, “Have you been to Barry’s house? You’re invited to see #MANILOW at @westgatevegas all year long!”
According to a press release, the “Copacabana” singer will be performing several holiday shows at the now historic venue, and theater, December 5 through December 14. The shows will feature his biggest hits, as well as a selection of festive holiday songs. And hopefully, even those famous jingles Manilow wrote. “Like a good neighbor…”
Tickets are available now, for performances through November 2025.
Barry Manilow Lifetime Las Vegas Residency Was A No-Brainer
Westgate founder and executive chairman David Siegel says “Barry Manilow is a generational artist and a dear friend.” Over the years, we have built a personal and professional relationship that is truly special, and I am honored to offer Barry the opportunity to perform at Westgate for a lifetime.”
Honestly, if you haven’t seen Barry Manilow, GO SEE HIM! It is truly one of the most enjoyable shows in Las Vegas. He definitely wrote the songs!
