Truth Jar: What Was Your Nickname In School
It would be safe to say that we all had one…whether we liked it or not. This morning, the “Truth Jar” was out, so what was your nickname in school? That’s what The Mike & Carla Morning Show wanted to know.
Now to be fair, it was a question a listener had texted in for Mike O’Brian. Truth be told, and that’s the whole idea of “Truth Jar”, he said that for some reason it was “Bowser”!
Got it in junior high, but lost it once he got to high school. Didn’t know why or who even pin the name on him, but it stuck for a few years. Okay, not bad, compared to what Carla Rea had to endure through middle school.
What Was Your Nickname In School
According to an article from BetterHelp, there’s a whole procedure on giving or accepting a nickname. Almost like a process. They also talk about those inappropriate nicknames as well.
We all went through it whether we wanted to or not. Some names came from an appreciation of their real name…first or last. It could come from something you did or something you were known for. In the big scheme of things, who knows how your friends come up with these things.
And it’s not always your friends that come up with them. That’s when it gets a little tough no matter what grade you’re in. Kids can be cruel…not to mention the people you work with.
All in all, it was an interesting topic to tap into. We all seem to learn a little bit more about each other every time we bring out the “truth” jar. And that’s what The M&C Morning Show tends to be…very truthful and even more honest. Nothing held back…so take a couple of minutes, listen to the segment and enjoy!
