Company Made It Possible For Employees To Hug Their Missing Loved Ones For The Holidays–And It’s Beautiful
seb-raWhat do you want for Christmas? Some people would love nothing more than to hug someone they love, that is not near them. Or, someone who is simply just not there anymore.
What Do I Want For Christmas? To Hug My Loved Ones
One company made it possible for their employees to hug their missing loved ones. When employees at Klick Health talked about not being able to hug loved ones over the holiday season, the company literally created magic to make some really amazing reunions happen for their team members.
In a video called ‘Holiday Hugs’, the Klick Health company initially shows each team member missing a loved one, a beautiful AI embrace with that person. But then, the heartwarming deep-fake hugs lead to surprise appearances by the person they are missing. And there are real-life, in person hugs.
“I just wish I could really squeeze her right now,” said an emotional team member, Kari, from New York, after watching the AI-generated hug with her sister Marlene. But moments after that, her sister bursts onto the set for a long in-person hug.
The sisters spent the past 14 years caring for their mother after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. But they haven't been together for the holidays since Marlene moved to Virginia.
Fred got a big bear hug when his brother Rico, who lives in Brazil, walked into the Klick production studio for their first holiday reunion in seven years.
Hugging Is Actually Good For Your Health
Just like the folks in the video, Klick had people take a survey They cited two of the biggest reasons they’re not getting together for the holidays: One is geographical distance and two, sadly, loved ones have passed away. Klick literally made the impossible, possible.
It has been proven that hugs are good for your health. Klink Health says they don’t just make people feel better emotionally, they also have numerous health benefits. According to the National Institute of Health, hugs can lower blood pressure and boost the immune system.
Klick’s Chief Creative Officer Rich Levy said, “There’s nothing quite like the warmth and reassurance of a heartfelt hug." "Seeing the joy and tears of our Klicksters reminds us that no technology can truly replace the magic of human connection, but it can help bring us closer in the most surprising ways.”

‘Holiday Hugs’ was filmed in Klick’s in-house Studio K production facility, where the production team took Klicksters’ photo submissions and turned them into video clips of lifelike hugs between them and their loved ones.
They used the Gen-3 Alpha Turbo tool by Runway. Now I don't know exactly what that program is, and I'm still iffy on a lot of AI. But this is incredible, and it sure did bring some beautiful emotion to these people for the holidays.
If you’re interested in creating your own AI-generated holiday hug, Klick animators created a how-to-video showing how they did it. It really doesn't look that difficult, so maybe try to give it a shot.
Here's hoping YOU get the surprise hug from the family member, or friend you are missing during the holidays.
WARNING: This video will make you very emotional. But it's beautiful!
5 Muppet Christmas Movies That Will Fill You With Festive Joy
When it comes to holiday movies, nobody does it like the Muppets. These lovable creatures know how to throw Christmas spirit in your face with just the right mix of heart, humor, and complete insanity. They’ve got something for everyone… Comedy, heartfelt songs, and even moments that sneak up and make you go, “Damn, why am I crying over a talking frog?” Muppet Christmas movies are proof that the holidays don’t have to be perfect to be magical. They just have to be full of love, laughs, and maybe a turkey or two running for its life.
The Muppets have mastered the art of taking classic Christmas tales and putting their wild spin on them. And when they’re not reworking Charles Dickens or George Bailey’s life, they’re coming up with their own bonkers holiday stories that somehow still capture the true meaning of Christmas. It’s the kind of joyful chaos you want during the holidays, like when your family is fighting over the last slice of pie, but deep down, you know everyone’s having having a blast doing it. That's a Muppet Christmas movie.,
What makes Muppet Christmas movies stand out is they’ll cast Michael Caine as Scrooge and surround him with singing rats! Or they’ll make Kermit question his existence while Miss Piggy hilariously spirals. Don't we all? And then there’s the catchy tunes that you’ll hum all season long, even if you don’t want to admit it. You love it.
Whether it’s a cozy jug-band in a small town or Gonzo pretending he’s Charles Dickens, every Muppet Christmas movie has something special. Sure they’re silly, but they always remind me that Christmas isn’t about perfection, it’s about showing up for the people (or Muppets) you love.
The 5 Best Muppet Christmas Movies:
