Nachos At Fontainebleau Las Vegas Causes An Uproar
A plate of sad nachos from the Fontainebleau Las Vegas caused a massive uproar on social media.
Fontainebleau has finally opened. It’s been over a month since the giant hotel has opened it’s doors to the public. We all saw how much they invested into the hotel and casino. Spending a rumored $6.1 million just for Justin Timberlake to perform. But things haven’t quite gone how they expected it to. Or maybe they planned all this? What am I talking about? In the past weeks, news has been released about several higher ups at the Las Vegas hotel being let go or leaving. We have seen this before, but not within a month of opening. Well if you think letting go of higher ups is bad, this may be even worse.
Could I Get A Side of Nachos With My Order Of Nachos?
Recently, Fontainebleau has come under fire not because of their casino or their hotel rooms. It’s because of a plate of nachos that were ordered. Yes, a picture and post of a single plate of nachos has gone more viral on the internet than the news of executives leaving.
The original poster who’s name is Mike Herman (@MuTigerMike) posted on X a picture of a poor excuse for a plate of nachos.
The caption for the post read “Hey @fblasvegas we waited an hour for food in the Sportsbook and this is our nachos??? Come on man.” The photo was a big plate with 6 round chips. The chips were covered with minimal bits of beef or chicken and melted cheese. Then giant stems of parsley laid over them. In the middle of the plate were 4 ramakins with salsa, guacamole, sour cream, and jalapenos in them.
In fancy restaurants and even some hotels, this would be something you’d expect as a light appetizer. But as a food option during game day, you’d expect a pile of nacho chips, smothered in cheese, choice of meat, and the toppings. The worse part is they paid $24 for it. One person could eat these by themselves and not even be close to being full.
That’s What You Get?
When the post and picture hit the web, it caught the attention of everyone. Sites like TMZ picked up on it immediately. With all the negative news about their higher ups exiting, this is probably the last thing Fontainebleau wants, which is more bad publicity.
The newest hotel on the Las Vegas strip didn’t waste anytime fixing the situation. Just days later, the Fontainebleau posted a picture of the new and improved nachos that they’re serving.
If you were served $24 nachos that looked like $5 ones, would you have complained? I think Fontainebleau did the right thing by revamping their nachos. Although these nachos aren’t the best, they’re definitely more popular than any other nacho plate out there at the moment.
