Las Vegas Formula One: What You Can And Cannot Bring
It’s race week in Las Vegas! If you’re heading to the track, here’s what you can expect.
Preparation has been taking place for months on the Las Vegas Strip for the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix. But on paper, it’s been in the works for several years.
Safety Is A Priority For Las Vegas Formula One
Fox 5 News reported that Clark County Commissioner, Jim Gibson, is grateful to Las Vegas Residents. “This event has been a big lift, and we also want to thank our residents and visitors for their patience as we have all been impacted by the significant roadwork and construction activity that has been under way to make it happen.”
For Las Vegas locals, the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix hasn’t been too well received. But for those coming in from all over the world, they are very excited about going to the event on the world famous Las Vegas Strip. And those who have been working on the event since day one, say that safety is of the utmost importance.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, Clark County, and Las Vegas Grand Prix, want to ensure that not only are the attendees, and participants safe, but that all of Las Vegas is safe.
There Are Restrictions On What You Can Bring
Las Vegas is expecting crowds the likes of New Years Eve. From the beginning the estimate was one hundred thousand, plus. So there will be restrictions that we have come to expect at large events, and venues
Oversized purses and bags (more than 12 inches by 6 inches), coolers, strollers, backpacks, briefcases, luggage, and bottles WILL NOT BE ALLOWED in public areas along the Strip, and other resort areas.
Other items not allowed in the race zone areas: Flags, banners, signs or promotional materials, horns and noisemakers, professional sound or photo equipment, chairs and stools. No bags larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches will be allowed in race zones (best if they are clear bags). With the exception of service animals, no animals will be allowed
Here’s Where You Can Get Traffic Updates
It’s going to be an epic spectacle to witness on the Las Vegas Strip, and for those watching throughout the world. But OHHH, THE TRAFFIC!
If you’d like to receive traffic updates and notifications, you can opt-in for traffic updates by texting “F1LV” to 31996. It is very helpful. Not only if you are going to the event, but for any commuters – it is a MUST.
