This was quite the session this morning, but in Group Therapy, one mother wanted to know if it was okay to give her kid a sleep aid? The Mike & Carla Morning Show thought this was an interesting situation for mom.

Mom was taking her 11 year old daughter to school and a friend commented on the girl's pleasant disposition. The mother told her friend it's because she gets plenty of sleep. The mom let it slip that she had been giving her daughter an all natural sleep aid.

Is It Okay To Give Your Kids A Sleep Aid

The friend was a little put off by this and now mom is questioning her parenting. Is this something that a parent should be doing for an eleven year old girl?

Now, according to an article by the Sleep Foundation, it does say that one sleep aid, Melatonin, is indeed all natural and has not found "significant side effects".

So, in essence, the mom wanted to know if she should feel guilty for giving her daughter Melatonin? Most of those listeners texting in and even calling in, said that she should NOT!

At this point in time, it seemed to be helping her child get the necessary sleep needed. Her school work wasn't suffering, she seemed to be in an up and positive mood as witnessed by the mother's friend.

However, there was a caution by listeners that the parent should consult they're doctor to see how long this should go on for.

We also come to find out that the mom wasn't alone. Plenty of parents were admitting to doing the same for the sake of the child getting some well needed rest through the night.

Heck, even Carla Rea admitted to taking it for a time and then she was done. It was clearly an intense group therapy, but we think the mom shouldn't feel guilty. Listen to the segment yourself and you decide...and enjoy!

Foods You Should Not Eat In Bed

If you think that eating in bed is romantic, think again...it's NOT! According to a recent article published by SWNS, they listed foods you should not eat in bed. On the other hand, a list of foods that might be okay. It gets down to the "messy" factor! That's why breakfast might be okay in bed, but other than that, not much more.

It does come down to the "hands on" factor. For example, a burger or a sandwich is okay, but for some reason a hot dog has been banned. We think it might be what you can handle in the bed and if there is someone eating with you.

If you are fond of sausage and mashed potatoes, then you are in deep trouble since this dish has also been banned from the bed. Not sure why, because if you cut up the meat properly and put the mashed potatoes in a safe bowl, should be pretty easy to eat right?

Food You Can Eat In Bed...Maybe

Pizza also made the good list, so you're good to go whether it's cut in slices or squares. However, pie made the good list as well, but we're confused since there is a "crumb" factor related to the crust that might make things a little uncomfortable when back under the sheets.

On The Mike & Carla Morning Show this morning, the mention of tacos came up. Now there's a lot of people that think tacos should be banned from being eaten in bed. One person on The M&C Morning Show thinks otherwise. You can only imagine who that might be. Well, do this, listen to the segment below, then scroll further down to see the Top 5 foods that people say you should never eat in bed.
