Students Lick Peanut Butter Off Feet During Fundraising Event
A school in Oklahoma had a fundraising event and raised over $152,000 by licking peanut butter off each other’s feet.
You’re Doing What To Raise Money?
Parents of students were angry when they saw videos surface of their children at an Oklahoma School District fundraiser. Why? Instead of a normal fundraiser where children wash cars or sell foods, they took the food and decided to go a different route.
Students raised money for a charity titled Not your Average Joe Coffee. Before you question why they’re raising money for a coffee shop, they actually employ people who have different disabilities.
The Students licked peanut butter off each others feet. Yes, you read that right, they licked peanut butter off the feet of other students. It’s the “toe-licking challenge.”
Main Thing Is They Had Fun, Right?
Videos of the event surfaced after the fact. The kids all looked like they were having fun, but when parents saw the videos, they were quick to react and respond.
According to Yahoo! News, the 9th through 12th graders at Deer Creek High School all volunteered to do it. But after the video was released, the school was immediately investigated.
One parent told KOKH “Whenever she told me yesterday that was happening, I had ask her, “Wait What? They’re licking peanut butter off of toes. What?”
Super Intendent, Ryan Walters went straight to X to post his thoughts on this fundraiser.
As you can see in the video, kids are laying on the floor, competing against each other to lick peanut butter off each others toes. One thing is for certain, this fundraiser obviously wasn’t an issue for most because the school district announced that they raised a total of $152,830.38 for Not Your Average Joe Coffee. Yahoo! News also says the school district confirmed that all the students who participated in the fundraiser volunteered for it and signed up for the games they played ahead of the fundraiser.
