Florida Man Collecting One Million VHS Copies Of ‘Titanic’
A Florida man wants to own a MILLION copies of Titanic. Nope, not kidding.
In an ABC Action News Florida news report, JD (like Jack Dawson?) says he is a big Titanic fan. He watched it over and over when he was young. So he’s trying to collect a MILLION copies of the movie Titanic – on VHS.
He only has about 2,500 so far, so he’s asking people to send him their spare copies in the mail. Huh – who would have thought someone would want your VHS tapes. But JD does.
If you had VHS tapes, chances are pretty good that you had a copy of Titanic. JD says it was one of the top-selling tapes, “with more than 25 MILLION in circulation.” I’m sure if he’s counting the ‘in a box, in the basement’ copies, he’s spot on!
He still has a long way to go, and he jokes around about his fandom. But his dedication is real. And he claims he already has the world’s largest collection of the “Titanic” soundtrack on CD. #Goals
He’s already spent a few years collecting, and “Titanic” was a Double VHS. Which means these are taking up some serious space in his house. Obviously, he won’t get to one million copies by hitting up thrift shops, and garage sales. So he needs YOUR help, too.
He’s asking people to basically clean out their junk, and send it to him. Donate your spare copies of Titanic to him. You can mail them to him, but you will have to cover the shipping. If you’re interested in participating in the million copy Titanic madness, the address is: P.O. Box 5355, Largo, Florida, 33779.

Move over Rose – I’m getting on the door with you! Not a line in Titanic. But it should have been.
