Special Ninth Island Luau Is Bringing Help To Maui
A special Luau event in Las Vegas this weekend is helping to show love to the relief efforts in Maui.
Las Vegas is lovingly referred to as the Ninth Island. Simply because it has welcomed so many native Hawaiians and become their adopted home. And this weekend, many will join together in a cherished Hawaiian tradition to raise money for the Hawaii Community Foundation‘s Maui Strong Fund. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides both immediate and long-term financial resources. Funds help both people and places affected by the fires this August in Hawaii.
Details about the Ninth Island Luau.
The Ninth Island Luau is a hula and feast. It will be at the Palms Casino Resort for two days this weekend. Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 6pm to 8:30pm. And Sunday, November 5, 2023 from 6pm to 8:30pm. The event will take place both days at KAOS nightclub. Anyone over the age of six years must purchase a ticket. Each ticket purchased will include a Hawaiian feast buffet, a complimentary Mai Tai, a traditional Hawaiian lei, and entertainment.
The entertainment will be special performances provided by Old Lāhainā Lūʻau. They are an entertainment company, based in Lāhainā, Hawaii, that has been entertaining visitors since 1986. Their Hawaiian location is currently closed. As they were in close proximity to the devastating fires that occurred in August. More than 60% of the employees at Old Lāhainā Lūʻau lost their homes or were displaced by the wildfires. And the owners of Old Lāhainā Lūʻau are helping to give back to their local community by partnering with Palms Casino for this event.
Other partners for the event include Southwest, IGT, U.S. Foods, Yaamava’ Resort & Casino, ICC and videopoker.com. Tickets are available at ticketmaster.com and parking is free at the Palms Casino Resort.
