About
MEET WENDY RUSH
Born and raised in California, Wendy Rush has been calling Las Vegas home for the past 20 years.
She is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (Go Rebels!) with a degree in Theater Design. Wendy is adventurous and likes to explore new things, including her careers.
Before finding her home in radio, Wendy did everything from interior design and bartending, to acting and improv (she’s obsessed…seriously…it’s annoying). And she has impersonated celebrities on the Las Vegas strip. Her favorites were Alanis Morrissette, and Shania Twain and Cher.
Wendy has a lot of activities off the mic. She’s an avid outdoor adventurer and loves to camp and go paddle boarding. She also loves treasure hunting and geocaching. Indoors you can find her hunting treasure at a thrift store or local auction. And she can often be found getting lost in an Escape Room.
When she’s not geeking out, Wendy is rocking out. She’s a keyboardist and singer and plays guitar. Wendy has performed in various rock bands in Las Vegas and loves to dress the part when her rocker chick comes out.
When it’s time to hang at home, Wendy likes to play with power tools and build stuff. Usually out of unexpected things. She’s built a dollhouse out of pallet wood, a pool out of a box spring, and a dining table out of a cable spool. She throws nothing away before first seeing if it can have another life.
But first and foremost, Wendy is a mom. To one four-legged kid and one two-legged kid. So she spends a lot of time at parks and drinking a lot of coffee to keep up. Cappuccino, anyone?
