Based on rooms, it doesn't seem all that odd that some of the largest hotels in the world are right here in Las Vegas baby! And if you think about it, with F1 and the BIG game coming to Las Vegas, we're going to need all the rooms we have right? According to a list published by Uniq Hotels, a few of those hotels are right here in Las Vegas!

Again, keep in mind that we are talking rooms, but nonetheless, we do have a list of world class resort hotels right here on the strip! Noting that back in the mid to late 80s, although Vegas was a great vacation destination, a lot of people would say that the construction of The Mirage was the beginning of a new era.

Las Vegas Is Home To Many Of The World's Largest Hotels

The total cost over $630 million, a volcano going off every hour and a dolphin habitat, it was a sign that things were changing here! However, with all the glitz and glamour The Mirage offered at the time, it doesn't even crack the Top 10 when it comes to largest hotels in the world.

At the other end of the spectrum, The Luxor at the south end of the strip makes it on to the list at #10! According to the article listing the largest hotels in the world, this hotel appears in cinema more so that actor Tom Hank. It's pyramid shape makes it unique on all levels. The article also states, "The 30-story building features the largest atrium in the world, with a volume of 29 million cubic feet."

Topping the list of largest hotels in the world is a hotel in Malaysia. It's called the First World Hotel and features over 7300 rooms! The hotel also boasts two towers that puts in it the Guinness World Records title for the largest hotel in the world. A huge casino, large amusement park and world class entertainment put this hotel on the top of the list.

#9 MANDALAY BAY RESROT & CASINO

Home to the WNBA World Champion Las Vegas Aces, this hotel at the south end of the Las Vegas Strip has a lot going on! The beach area, indoor and outdoor concerts and quite a few rooms. More than enough to put it at #9 on the list of World's Largest Hotels!

#7 WYNN LAS VEGEAS & ENCORE RESORT

Not only do they look big, but they are! Combine, both the Wynn and Encore offer up 4,748 rooms to tourists here in Las Vegas! Good enough to put the properties at #7 on the list! Hey, two is always better than one right?

#3 MGM GRAND LAS VEGAS

At one time considered to be the largest in the world, The MGM Las Vegas is now #3 on the list offering over 6800 rooms. This hotel has gone through quite a few changes including the very front of the hotel soon after it's grand opening back in 1993.

#2 THE VENETIAN RESORT

Well, not #1 in the world, but it is on the Las Vegas Strip...coming in at #2 on the list of Largest Hotels in the World, it's The Venetian Resort! With over 7000 rooms, canals, world class entertainment, this hotel truly stands out in Las Vegas!
