College Decides To Change Logo, Because Kids Can’t Do This

A college had to change it's logo because kids couldn't read Washington's signature.

George Washington University has decided to change it’s logo after years because kids evidently can’t read cursive! That’s what The Mike & Carla Morning Show started talking about this morning.

Now, a little history on the school itself. It dates back to 1782, when kids actually cared about their penmanship. However, things have changed…in fact the logo in question was only updated back in 2013.

But, according to a report from WTOP News, George Washington’s signature is too hard to read for kids. Considering the fact that they don’t even teach cursive in schools anymore. If you go to the article, you can even see what we’re talking about.

And if kids are going to create a document on the computer, we all know there is a cursive font available to make it look like you know how to write it.

But clearly, for most adults who still use cursive, the problem is not writing it out, it’s our kids trying to figure out what it says.

On the other hand, the report also states that the university redid the official seal of the school. But it seems a little weird that they would include Latin! Unless there is something we don’t know and every kid is studying Latin in elementary school?

Nonetheless, The M&C Morning Show wanted to know from parents listening this morning, how many of their kids can’t read cursive? Oh, telling time on an old fashion clock came up and that too is a huge deal with kids.

Not every kid that should be able to, can tell time on an old fashion clock. All that and more in the segment from this morning. Listen to it and then ask yourself if your kids can read and tell time the old fashion what. Or maybe it’s just not that important anymore?

100 Best Public Colleges In America

Earning a college degree is an investment with far-reaching benefits. Adults who hold degrees earn an average of $32,000 more per year than those who hold a high school diploma. This increased income can mean a big difference in the quality of life, from being able to afford a home to lower instances of poverty, and even longer life expectancy.While those statistics are all good reasons to go to college, education often comes with a hefty price tag. Over the last 10 years, tuition rates for both public and private colleges have increased by more than 25%, and student loan debt has increased alongside them. In 2019, the average cost per year of a private college education was $48,510, while at a public college it was $21,370. As a result, many students are choosing to attend a public university, where they can potentially get less expensive tuition and better value for their money.

Public universities, which are funded by government monies, are usually less expensive than their private counterparts, primarily because they do not have to rely solely on tuition fees to stay solvent. And while there is a long-standing assumption that private school education is somehow “better” than a state university, state schools often provide the same types of degrees as private ones, and depending on the student, can sometimes provide a better fit for their education.
