Drugged Las Vegas High Roller Offers Million Dollar Reward
Don’t you just hate when you go to the casino, drink something spiked with horse tranquilizer and lose $3.5 million at Blackjack? Dwight Manley certainly did. Now the drugged Las Vegas high roller is offering up a massive reward to figure out who did it.
Drop A Dime, Get A Million Dollars
Manley, who is suing MGM Resorts International for negligence among other things, is putting up a million dollars of his own money to get to the bottom of who put the hallucinogenic anesthetic ketamine in his drink while gambling a few years back.
The sports agent and real estate tycoon originally put up a reward for $500,000 to get tips leading to the perpetrator, but he’s doubled down. Something he probably did unknowingly at the Blackjack table.
The Tale Of Woe From The Drugged Las Vegas High Roller
It was December 10th, 2021. Tornadoes were ravaging Western Kentucky and Dwight Manley was ravaging the Blackjack table at MGM Grand. He’s known for spending a pretty penny at the tables, which is why his casino host arranged to fly him in.
Once at the table, Manley said he had a drink (he got an old fashioned) but something was a bit off about the drink. After he finished it off, he started feeling a bit… off. After that point, he doesn’t remember much. He said he cut his hand on an ashtray, started acting erratically and got markers extended to him. Markers are essentially credit with the casino. Three markers were given to him, extending his credit with the casino to $3.5 million. Yikes.
Eventually, he says, he was shepherded home to his villa, paid for by the casino, because he was out of it. He went to sleep, awoke the next day, and tried to piece the day together like The Hangover.
Manley feels as though he shouldn’t have to pay the markers back as he was, he believes, incredibly intoxicated by the drug. The American Gaming Association states in its code of conduct that “casinos will make a diligent effort not to permit casino gambling by a visibly intoxicated patron.”
The entire situation of the drugged Las Vegas high roller is an interesting one. If you know who did it, drop a dime at 1MillionReward.com.
