Green Day’s Pop Up Show In Downtown Las Vegas-SOULD OUT
UPDATE: THE SHOW HAS SOLD OUT! Over 10,000 people tried for tickets to a venue that holds about 800 people. To all those who got tickets, CONGRATS!
Green Day is no doubt one of the greatest punk rock band for decades. And although fame has them now selling out arenas and headlining festivals, they still always go back to their roots. How? They will play small venues and not tell anyone about it until the day before or day of. That’s exactly what they’re doing here in Vegas and it’s going to be bonkers!
A Secret That’s Not So Secret Now
The rumors were out there for over a week that they would possibly play a secret show days before their headline the When We Were Young Festival on the Las Vegas strip. Social media sites were blowing up with guesses of where it could possibly be. But how did fans figure out a show was possibly happening? Green Day were posting little Easter Egg posts about it. It started with a poster showing both dates for the When We Were Young Festival. But above that was a show that was completely crossed out. And that’s when the internet blew up.
Cats Out Of The Bag
It seems that if the band was able to keep it a secret until the day of, they most definitely would. But it was October 18th when ticket links popped up and the band posted more Easter Eggs in their posts. Fans put two and two together and found out where it would be. That’s when the band posted another post of a video outside the venue. What venue is it? The Fremont Street Country Club. Yes, the band that sells out stadiums and arenas are gonna play a small club. The show will happen tonight. Here’s the thing, tickets haven’t even been sold for it yet.
Tickets for the show will go on sale this morning at 10 am PST. And you better believe it will sell out. And to avoid people buying tickets and scalping them immediately, they’re only allowing you to buy them online and then you have to pick up at will call. This forces you to physically go down there. The show is a 21 and over show and a band named Ultra Q will be opening. The show will start at 7 pm. Expect the show to go long because Green Day won’t disappoint. They’ll play all their hits and more. If you look at set lists from their recent shows, they’re playing over 2 hours.
