JASNV’s ‘Boo-A-Thon’ Bowling Tournament In Las Vegas
If you like to bowl, Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas is inviting you to come do it for a good cause.
Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada is hosting its annual fundraising bowling tournament. The Boo-A-Thon Bowling Tournament is coming up on Oct. 14 and Oct. 15, 2023, at the Santa Fe Station Bowling Center on Rancho Drive. Bowlers are invited to play in teams from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, or 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
The Halloween-themed event is great for groups of families or friends. Additionally, the tournament can be a great company team building exercise. Teams of five people will be accepted, and each team member is asked to raise $100 for the Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada. The organization will provide fundraising tools to individuals and teams to help them meet their donation goals.
Bowlers are encouraged to wear costumes, and there will be prizes awarded for best individual and team costumes. Prizes will also be awarded for best lane decoration, best individual bowler, and for individuals and teams who are the top fundraisers. There will also be raffle tickets available for purchase.
Registration for the tournament is $20 for all bowlers. That cost includes shoes and unlimited bowling for two hours. The registration fee also covers pizza, soda, and prize opportunities. Proceeds for the Boo-A-Thon will benefit the Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada. The organization will use the funds for their mission to support financial literacy, workforce readiness and entrepreneurial programs for K-12 students in Southern Nevada. Since 1996, the organization has annually served more than 20,000 students in our community. Their curriculum covers a variety of focuses. Including budget management, economic principles and more.
