Fourth of July is on a Tuesday this year, but that doesn’t stop people from celebrating! But some people may not be sure if they’re going to celebrate. It’s for several reasons but it falling on a Tuesday definitely is a contributing factor!
Who’s Celebrating 4th Of July?
A YouGov.com poll showed that fifty-six percent of people will be celebrating the Fourth of July this year! 26% though were the opposite and said they will not be celebrating the holiday. They also found that eighteen percent said they are “not sure” if they will or not. In these results, they found women are more likely to be undecided over men. As far as age goes, people ages forty-five and older are more likely to NOT celebrate this year!
Who’s Watching Fireworks?
Another poll done by YouGov.com regarding whether people will watch fireworks or not during the holiday was taken. 48% of the people who were polled said they are going to see fireworks over the next week! 31% were opposite and said they won’t be. 21% aren’t sure. And believe it or not, its the same as the previous poll taken, people ages forty-five and older are not that into fireworks, whether its watching it or firing them off!
How Patriotic Are You?
YouGov.com, did a third poll asking a third question and got the results on “how patriotic” they consider themselves. The results showed that 34% percent considered themselves “very patriotic!” But 36% percent said they’re only “Somewhat” patriotic. Thirteen percent said they’re “not very patriotic.” And a low 9% said they’re not patriotic at all!
What Can We Gather From All Three Polls?
It’s safe to say that if you’re older, you’re much more patriotic, but don’t really celebrate the Fourth of July! And more than 25% percent of adults who are forty-four and under aren’t very patriotic.
Where do you feel you fit in? Are you gonna celebrate the Fourth of July? Are you patriotic? And will you be watching any firework shows for the holiday?
