FREE Bus Rides Las Vegas Offered Up By RTC On New Year’s Eve
This holiday season, take advantage as the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada will offer FREE bus rides on New Year’s Eve! The RTC will offer FREE rides on all 39 routes from 6pm on New Year’s Eve to 9am New Year’s Day and several additional routes will run on a 24-hour schedule or with extended hours.
The Mike & Carla Morning Show letting you know that in addition to the FREE bus rides, the RTC is making transit even more accessible by running additional extended service hours on nine routes and complete 24-hour service on 14 routes.
“This is one of the busiest times of the year for travel, and we urge anyone heading in or out of Las Vegas to plan ahead for heavy traffic and pack your patience,” according to David Swallow, RTC deputy chief executive officer, who went on to say, “We know travelers are eager to get to their destination with their family and friends this holiday season. “
The Las Vegas area is expected to see heavier than usual traffic this holiday weekend as well as during the New Year’s weekend, with that in mind the RTC will be operating on both Christmas Day and New Year’s Day! Be aware that the RTC is warning residents as well as tourists headed to Las Vegas over the next couple of weekends should prepare for longer travel time and delays.
For those flying over the next couple of holiday weekends, FREE parking is available at the Centennial Hills Transit Center or the South Strip Transit Terminal where you have direct access to Harry Reid International Airport’s Ground Level Zero at Terminal 1 via the Centennial Express or Route 109 (Maryland Parkway).

New Year’s Eve Las Vegas style is the epitome of glitz, glamour and glorious extravagance.
Like the East Coast’s legendary “Ball Drop” in New York City’s Time Square, Las Vegas has its own iconic NYE celebrations that attract people from across the globe.

The Strip hosts an iconic fireworks show, and the main theme for this year’s celebration seems to be “Let’s Go Big,” according KTLA.
People who are visiting The Strip for this show should expect a beautiful explosion of dazzling fireworks when the clock strikes midnight.
The fireworks will be launched from multiple famous Strip properties. According to KTLA, officials will launch fireworks from eight major casinos along Las Vegas Boulevard. The properties include MGM Grand, Aria Resort and Casino, Planet Hollywood Las Vegas Casino and Resort, Caesars Palace Las Vegas, Treasure Island Hotel and Casino, The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, Resorts World Las Vegas and The STRAT!
Downtown Las Vegas will also have a great night of festivities and great performances from bands like Sugar Ray, All-4-One, The Wailers, DJ Skribble, and more. Tickets for this even cost $50.
