Dogs Set Guinness World Record At Movie Screening
It doesn’t happen very often, but a bunch of dogs set a Guinness World Record by attending a recent movie screening. The Mike & Carla Morning Show brought this up the other day in the “Other News” segment. 219 dogs sat in an outdoor park watching “Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie” and set the record.
According to the article put out by UPI, all these dogs gathered in Griffith Park in Los Angeles for an outdoor screening of the movie. It was a beautiful night and officials from the Guinness World Record book were on hand to make it official.
Clearly, this movie screening was for the dogs!
The recent record was 199 dogs set just last year. Hey, everyone knows that records were made to be broken right? This was all done in conjunction with a local animal foundation who’s director said, “…I hope people reading about this milestone will be inspired to get out and adopt.”
Now considering that this was outdoors, it shouldn’t be that hard to break this record. It just seems like a matter of time before another “dog” movie is out that will be perfect. But does it really matter about what movie it is.
The M&C Morning Show has talked about this before. What movie and/or tv show gets the attention of your four-legged friend. Whether at home or at an outdoor screening. Something that will grab their attention for more than 5 minutes?
Everyone has their own favorites, but with “Paws in the Park” coming up in November, is this a record we should consider to break? Let’s face it, we will have the dog power in high numbers and being at Desert Breeze Park, the perfect setting.
Well, congratulations to these dogs, the owners and to everyone who took the time to put this together…it was well worth it!
