Las Vegas Woman Feels She Shouldn’t Have To Pay Rent
We think it’s safe to say that we all wish we were in this situation, but there’s a one Las Vegas woman who feels she shouldn’t have to pay rent. It was another round of “group therapy” on The Mike & Carla Morning Show this morning!
To be honest, she does have to pay rent, but you have to hear the whole story. This woman is moving in with her fiancé after being together for three years. It’s been agreed that she will pay $1200.00 a month. Now keep in mind that the guy owns his home outright. It’s paid off, doesn’t owe anything on it except taxes at the end of the year.
Where it gets sticky though, just before moving in, he says, he’s going to have to raise her rent by $400.00! He noticed that the market value just went up and it’s only fair she pay the extra four bills. That’s where the therapy session starts!
The M&C Morning Show put the question out there on what others thought about this. Specifically the “market” increase of $400.00? Well, that just opened a hornet’s nest of calls and texts from both men and women.
The guy was not getting any sympathy from those speaking out. Some even suggested that the woman put the deal on paper along with a few other things. Some thought if this is how he is before they get married, what’s life going to be like after saying “I do”?
However, there was one person who thought that the guy was just good with money and she should be a positive. Maybe after they tie the knot, she won’t have to worry about the cash if he’s like this now! Nonetheless, the general consensus was that the girl should bale NOW!
