20-Year-Old Gets Busted with ‘McLovin’ ID, Seth Rogen Responds
When movies and real-life collide, it’s quite a beautiful trainwreck.
Per WSVN-TV, Daniel Alfredo Burleson, a 20-year-old Iowa City resident was arrested and charged with “public intoxication, possession of a fake ID, possession of alcohol while underage and being in a bar after 10 PM while underage.” When caught by police, Burleson admitted to there was vodka in his drink, but when police asked for his ID, he initially refused.
Burleson was then taken outside of the bar where he retrieved his ID from his wallet, but he was also in possession of a fake ID from Hawaii. The name on that ID? “McLovin.” Yes…the same McLovin as made infamous in the 2007 comedy Superbad. (Relive the hilarious scene in the NSFW video below.)
Superbad was co-written by Seth Rogen who caught wind of the story and shared it on Twitter along with the message, “My work here is done.”
Fingers crossed that no one gets arrested by imitating the closing scene from 2016’s Sausage Party, another film co-written by Rogan. (If you don’t know what’s being referenced, look it up yourself, but consider yourself warned.)
