Golden Steer Steakhouse In Las Vegas Is Expanding
The Golden Steer, one of the oldest restaurants in Las Vegas, has announced their first expansion in about 50 years.
Las Vegas’ Oldest Steakhouse Is Full Of History
Located on Sahara, just off the Strip, The Golden Steer Steakhouse is iconic in Las Vegas. It opened in 1958. Fans of the Golden Steer know that Las Vegas royalty used to hang out, and drink and dine there.
Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin, Muhammad Ali, Marilyn Monroe, Joe Dimaggio, and of course, Old Blue Eyes himself, Frank Sinatra. They were all regulars at one time. There is even a nameplate that marks Frank Sinatra’s favorite table.
On their website, The Golden Steer says most of the restaurant scenes in the movie Casino were based on moments at the Golden Steer. It was a favorite hangout for the Mafia back in their Vegas days. Yes, even Tony Spilotro.
The Golden Steer opened the oldest steakhouse on the Las Vegas Strip.
The Golden Steer Is Getting Bigger And Better
The popular restaurant is family owned. It has been in Amanda Signorelli’s family for years. She and her husband now run the restaurant. The pandemic put a lot of restaurants out of business.
Many restaurants were hit hard and The Golden Streer was one of them. According to Digitalrestaurants.org, the owners decided to give shipping a shot. Amanda shipped frozen steaks through Goldbelly Foods. But once they got a little experience in shipping they started to do it on their own. Amanda is working on opening their own warehouse, because it has been so successful.
The last remodel of the Golden Steer was back in 1978 when the bar area was added. With this new addition, The Golden Steer can seat about sixty more guests. It will allow the restaurant to be able to host larger events, and parties.
If you haven’t been to The Golden Steer – Las Vegas local or not – definitely go once. Great food, and a great experience!
