Children’s Heart Foundation’s Annual ‘Hearts for Cheritea’ Event
It’s tea time, Las Vegas. And the Children’s Heart Foundation is inviting you to join them for a very good cause.
It’s the 5th Annual “Hearts For Cheritea”. A fundraising event where Las Vegans come together to support the mission of the Children’s Heart Foundation. CHF is committed to making a difference in the lives of children with heart conditions. They do this by empowering families through emotional, educational, and financial support. All in the name of these children living a higher quality of life.
About the Children’s Heart Foundation.
CHF has four main goals. First is to lend support to families as they navigate difficult emotional and financial tolls brought on by a child’s heart condition. Second, to give children with heart conditions a medically-supervised camp experience. Third, to educate the general public as well as healthcare professionals on pediatric cardiology issues. And fourth, to support research in the area of pediatric cardiology.
At least one out of every 100 children in the United States are born with a congenital heart disease (CHD) each year. CHD is 60 times more prevalent than childhood cancer in the United States. And nearly twice as many children die from CHD than from all forms of childhood cancer combined (childrensheartfoundation.org). Research in the field of pediatric cardiology is the greatest hope children with CHD have to live a long life. As they benefit from medical and surgical advances available.
About the “Hearts For Cheritea” event.
To continue their support of children with CHD, CHF is hosting their “Hearts For Cheritea” event on Thursday, September 14. The event will begin at 11 a.m. in the Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas Four Seasons Ballroom. Everyone is invited to put on their best tea party outfit and mingle over afternoon tea and champagne. In the ballroom, attendees will enjoy a full afternoon tea service. Featuring an assortment of teas to choose from. There will also be bites to eat including finger sandwiches, petit fours, and other sweet treats.
During the event, there will be an emcee, a silent and live auction, and a presentation for this year’s CHF honoree: Buddy Valastro’s Restaurant Group.
Silent and Live Auction
While enjoying their tea, guests can bid on silent and live auction items. Auction items include travel or entertainment packages, private dinners, spa certificates, beauty baskets and more. This year’s auction items include a private dinner for 10 with Chef Bryan Forgione, a live-taping at Jimmy Kimmel Live!, a Day at the Firehouse, and a private box for up to 12 people at an upcoming Vegas Golden Knights 2023-2024 season game.
