A husband emailed the show saying his wife said she needed to lose weight and looking in the mirror each day would inspire her. So, I bought her one…now what’s wrong with buying my wife a mirror. Although she’s good with it, it seems that my family and friends are saying how thoughtless I am!

This popped up on The Mike & Carla Morning Show this morning is a Tuesday edition of “Group Therapy” and others seem to feel the same way. She asked for one, her husband listened and ended up getting her one. Some listeners looked at the bright side…it’s not like he bought her a gym membership!

Most women were a little shocked (SHOCKED) by the backlash toward the husband. She said something, he listened…and poof! It was a nice one too! Not just one of those you slap on the back of your bedroom door.

The even better news is that the wife was good with it. After that, should anyone else’s opinion matter? We didn’t think so! But if you’re gonna go that route, it’s better to think it out loud.

Seriously, you bought your wife a mirror!

Mike O’Brian told the story of how his own wife Jodi wanted a very nice garbage can for the kitchen. It was around Christmas time, so what did Mike do? Mike went out and bought the best and most expensive garbage can he could find. Wrapped the big box up and put it under the tree. You can imagine Jodi’s reaction unwrapping the gift only to find a garbage can!

Even his kids were like, “…seriously Dad, a garbage can?” Now if there is a mistake here, Mike admits, he should have put some money, jewelry or something of value in the can! Lesson learned! NEVER AGAIN!
