Tesla’s Next Amazing Update Is Helping Crack Down On Teen Curfews
If you’re a parent and a Tesla owner, plus you have driving teens in the home, Tesla is now making your parental curfew rules much easier on you.
No More Past Curfew Rules Being Broken
Tesla is working on an upcoming software update that parents will love, but their teenagers may not. Yup, they’re rolling out an update called “Night Curfew,” which allows parental control over their Teslas at night when their teenagers are out.
The update has been released to employees for now. This is version 2024.26 and workers get to test it out today, according to Not A Tesla App.

Parental Controls With A Simple PIN
The parental controls with the upcoming update to the public are all made possible with a simple Parental Control PIN. The pin allows you access to things like setting a maximum speed limit and limiting the acceleration to chill mode. It will also allow parents to set up a speed warning. They can turn on automatic emergency braking as well as the forward collision warning.
The best part of the feature is the alerts that are sent to the app when your teen breaks curfew. Once it’s past the curfew time, the parents will receive a message that their teenager is still out and past their curfew time. So no more teens sneaking in at night and lying the next morning, whether or not they were home on time. The app will know the truth.
“Night Curfew” doesn’t just work out for parents though. The update can also be useful for Tesla owners who rent out their car or let friends or family use it.
This is just another reason to choose a Tesla now when looking for a new car. They are constantly releasing updates to better the car and the driver. Hopefully, this new update will also help prevent accidents and possible death.
