Popular Zombie Run 5K Back In Henderson
Marathons and 5Ks are always a lot of fun. Physical exercise increasing those endorphins, being out in nature, and sharing the experience with hundreds of other people with contagious positive energy. It’s always something you walk (or run) away from feeling all your good feels. But there’s a new kind of run in town. One that promises to give you a few unexpected feelings.

Back by popular demand after a hugely successful run last year is the Zombie Run 5K in Henderson. This isn’t your typical 5K. The Zombie Run is part 5K, part zombie-infested obstacle course. With a hefty sprinkling of spooky fun. The family-friendly event is open to all ages. From the first-time walker to the seasoned marathon runner.
The City of Henderson invites guests to come out to the Zombie Run on Saturday, October 18. Where participants will run or walk on a zombie-infested 5K course to a finish line, if they can survive long enough to get to it. The first 300 participants across the finish line will receive a souvenir medal and dry fit t-shirt.
Making the event even more fun is the fact that it starts just about around dusk. Just when zombies come out to start feeding. Guests are encouraged to join in on the fun by wearing their favorite Halloween costume or by dressing up as one of the undead.
The event will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wildhorse Golf Course. Located at 2100 W. Warm Springs Rd in Henderson just east of North Green Valley Parkway. There is a chip-timed 5K run with registration $45 in advance or $50 at the door. Or guests can choose the one-mile walk for $25 advanced registration and $30 at the door. You can register here.
