Utah Cat Safe After Couple Accidentally Ships Her To California: Apocalypse Meow
Amazon’s ‘try before you buy” is a great option. Because you can try a bunch of items on, pick the ones that fit, then send the ones that don’t, back. Along with your cat.
A Utah Cat Is Safe After Couple Accidentally Ships Her To Amazon
A couple in Utah has now been reunited with their cat Galena, who they accidentally shipped to Amazon. The cat was hiding in a box that they returned. She will be okay, she was in the box for six days without food and water.
A couple is thrilled to be reunited with their cat, who they thought mysteriously disappeared two weeks ago. They looked all over for her. for days. Even put up signs all over their neighborhood. But it turned out, Galena didn’t run away.
If you aren’t a cat owner, or aren’t familiar with cats, they love curling up in boxes. Well, Galena was apparently inside a box of work boots that was going back to Amazon. It was all packed up, they dropped it off, and off it went.
The Utah cat is safe, after being in the box for six days without food and water, before being discovered by an Amazon employee named Brandy – in California. She immediately started caring for the cat, and took her to the vet, where they scanned her microchip.
It Could Have Been A Cat-Astrophe But All Is Well
Galena’s owner Carrie Clark says she was stunned to get a call that her cat had traveled from Utah to California. It took her a bit to process what had happened, but then she immediately made a trip to California to get her kitty back.
Galena is safe, and ok, and is recovering from her adventure without any serious repercussions. But several things helped this story have a happy ending.
Galena, the Utah cat, was in a big box. They weren’t just shipping one pair of boots, but five pairs were in the box, because they were doing Amazon’s “try before you buy” program. Also, the weather was good. Not too hot, not too cold. And the box was partially split open at one seam, so Galena was able to breathe just fine.
Also, Brandy the Amazon worker who found the cat, knows all about cats. Because she helps rescue them on the side.
So why don’t cats like Amazon? Because they prefer Cat-alogues. Or maybe, purr-fer. I could go on and on – but I won’t.
