Super Bowl Las Vegas Is Over: No More Football No More Taylor
The Lombardi Trophy is headed to Kansas CIty, once again. The first Super Bowl in Las Vegas has come and gone. Football season is over. So now what do you do?
It’s a long, sad time for a true blue football fan, once the season ends. But football players need time to recuperate, and so do football fans.
How About Moving On To The Next Sport
For a sports lover, basketball is certainly in full swing, so that would seem to be a pretty natural transition. Hockey is still in mid-season, and the Vegas Golden Knights still have a lot of goals left to celebrate. Major League Baseball spring training starts February 22nd. Regular season begins the end of March.
Cricket starts in mid-April. Yes, I know what a wicket is, but I still don’t fully understand the game. and I’ve watched far more than I ever thought I would. You can too, because ESPN seems to like it.
Think About Getting A Hobby
Yes, a hobby. Collect something. Trading cards, art, wine, , vinyl records. Or, maybe just dust, if collecting isn’t for you. Build models with your kids.
Read a book. Yes, you might be called a nerd, or even asked ‘what on earth are you doing?!” But it really is good for the brain, and it is a great stress reducer. Unless it’s a Stephen King book. Try a real book, with real pages.
Learn a new language. Learn to cook. Learn to play an instrument. Learn to paint. Take up golf. The possibilities are endless!
But It Has To Be Football
If it just has to be football – well, then maybe watch old games. Play Madden NFL. Watch UFL (XFL and USFL merged into one league) football. The season begins the end of March. Another thing you can do – buy your team’s gear now. Chances are, it will be on sale, since the NFL season is over.
If nothing else, keep telling yourself that next season is YOUR season. This will be the year the Raiders do it! One thing is certain – Super Bowl Las Vegas will happen once again, not too far down the road
Six months till pre-season football, seven months till regular season – and Taylor Swift’s sophomore year in the NFL. You’ll be fine.
