Joe Satriani Is Bringing G3 Back To Vegas For 25th Anniversary
Get ready to rock, Las Vegas. Guitar icon Joe Satriani is coming back to town.
The American rock guitarist and songwriter is bringing his concert tour, called G3, back to Sin City to celebrate their 25th anniversary. Satriani has six gold and platinum discs to his credit, according to satriani.com. He has performed with some of the biggest bands in history. Including The Greg Kihn Band, Deep Purple, and the supergroup Chickenfoot.
Satriani founded G3 in 1995. It’s a series of concert tours where he performs with two other iconic guitarists in various cities. In his years as a G3 member, Satriani has played with musicians including Steve Vai (Frank Zappa, Whitesnake), Steve Morse (Deep Purple), and Michael Schenker (Scorpions). He has also worked with Steve Lukather (Toto), Neal Schon (Journey), Brian May (Queen), Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top).
The last time that G3 played in Las Vegas was in 2018. When Satriani brought Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen and Dream Theater’s John Petrucci with him to the Brooklyn Bowl at the Linq Promenade.
Satriani did come back to Vegas earlier this year, for “Joe Satriani’s G4 Experience V6.0“. It was a 4-day event at the Hilton Las Vegas Resort. Guitarists of all skill levels attended various activities and workshops and got to jam with fellow music-lovers. Peter Frampton, Steve Lukather and more names were billed as participants.
G3 Reunion Tour in Las Vegas
Now Satriani is coming back to Las Vegas! He’ll be performing at the Location Westgate Resort International Theatre on Jan 27, 2024. The “G3 Reunion Tour” will once again feature Satriani, Eric Johnson and Steve Vai. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here. Other shows will also be included on the tour in Arizona, California, Washington, and Oregon.
