‘AVATAR: The Way Of Water’ Set To Pack Las Vegas Theaters
Vegas Film Critic Jeff Howard says THIS weekend is the weekend to go to the movies to see the new Avatar!
From the genius mind of James Cameron, comes “AVATAR: The Way Of Water” — his follow up to Avatar, which was huge 13 years ago. Visually more stunning than the first, and it clocks in at about three hours. However, Jeff says do NOT let that stop you, because it’s great! Listen to what else he has to say about the new Avatar!
‘1923’ is the prequel to the Paramount Network series “Yellowstone” and is a sequel to the series ‘1883′. It stars Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren. The show held a red carpet event right here in Las Vegas with Mirren and Ford walking the carpet.
Helen Mirren said “To be able to be a part of a franchise in a world that is so singular on American television is very exciting. There’s nothing else quite like it.”
It’s not their first time working together— they also starred in the 1986 film “The Mosquito Coast.” Mirren said “when we first worked together, he was a huge movie star and I was like nobody, so I was very intimidated,” She said” I learned a lot from him because I hadn’t done a lot. I had done a lot of theater at that point, [but] I hadn’t done a lot of movies. So I watched him and he taught me a great deal about film acting that, to this day, I’m still using.”
“Wednesday”— Netflix describes it as: “Smart, sarcastic and a little dead inside.” It’s a coming-of-age supernatural mystery, comedy, horror, series based upon the character Wednesday Addams from ‘The Addams Family’. Wednesday investigates a murder spree while making new friends, and foes, at Nevermore Academy.
A really good series, and Jenna Ortega is perfect as the oldest Addams’ daughter. It’s as if she was born to play the dark child of despair!
