‘Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame’ Highlights
Another class has been inducted into the glorious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with quite the class featuring a few artists from the 80s. The Mike & Carla Morning Show highlighted a few of the artists that made the most impression to music lovers from that MTV decade of music.
The one band that received the most amount of votes from fans was DURAN DURAN…they came out to perform a 3 song set including their hit “Hungry Like The Wolf.” A song that peaked at #3 on the Billboard charts when it was released back in late 1982. Just one of the songs that put this English band on the musical map!
Pat Benatar and Neil Geraldo, also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, performed as well doing a couple of her hits from the 80s including “Love Is A Battlefield” and “Heartbreaker“. Sounding stronger than ever, even at the age of 69, and of course the crowd going wild with each song!
Also on the bill was the induction of The Eurythmics! Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart…induction by The Edge, from U2, the 80s rock duo also put on a performance that clearly everyone enjoyed! Starting out with “Would I Lie To You” into “Sweet Dreams” and more!
Other highlights to catch when you watch the show will be Lionel Richie being inducted and performing with Dave Grohl, of the Foo Fighters. Dolly Parton was also inducted with a string of her hits being performed by Sheryl Crow and The Zac Brown Band.
The show is on HBO and can be watched throughout the next couple of weeks, but if you want a sample of what you can expect, then listen to the segment from this morning that highlighted these performances and more!
