Def Leppard’s Rick Allen Uses Art Exhibit To Benefit Veterans
He’s the co-founder and longtime drummer for Def Leppard. But Rick Allen isn’t just a musician. He’s also an artist. He’s been painting long before he got into music, and now he’s using that skill to help others.
Allen is launching an art tour in North American this month to benefit veterans. The art exhibit includes drums, toys and clothing that Allen has painted on over the years.
This isn’t the first endeavor by Allen to support our country’s veterans. After losing his arm in an auto accident in 1984, Allen says he feels a connection with soldiers returning home with physical disabilities.
