Amazing How Many Kids Cannot Tell Time
This was shocking to find out, but it seems to be true. How many kids today cannot tell time by looking at a clock! It was something that popped up on The Mike & Carla Morning Show this morning from a video that has gone viral. A teacher in Illinois was shocked (SHOCKED) to find out how many kids in her high school class who could not read a clock. We’re talking the old fashion kind with the big hand, little hand.
Really? You Kids Cannot Tell Time?
It was all according to an article put out on Distractify, and according to the students, it was too confusing! Too confusing? Now before we get to the “are you kidding me” statement, think about it. Over the course of years, everything is now digital! The clocks in cars, on the microwaves, even watches are now giving the time digitally. So, why would kids take the time to learn on to read a clock? There is really now reason right?
On the flipside, The M&C Morning Show wanted to know what other things your kids didn’t know how to do. Those things that as adults we just take for granted. You would be amazed what came up. One listener talked about how his wife, who worked for the school district who was surprised that a student didn’t know how to use a land line phone.
Another thing that came up was how some kids don’t know how to write cursive or even read it for that matter! Who actually writes anymore? They even have a cursive font on the computer, so it seems handwritten notes or letters are so yesterday overall!
