Every year, whether you knew it or not, it falls on the first day of September. So, with all that is going on over the Labor Day weekend, one restaurant is prepared to celebrate!
Paymon’s on West Sahara is rolling out the red carpet and turning out a special day for “gyros” According to a report on Channel 3, the local restaurant is offering up quite a few different Mediterranean specials on this very special day!

However, a lot of people take the gyro very personal it prepping this Greek delight. Starting with the meat along. Most will prefer the traditional lamb in their creation. If you happen to be Vegan, you are not out of luck here. In fact, according to the article, some Vegans with create their wrap with mushrooms, some chickpeas, tempe or even a bit of cauliflower to replace the meat. They will also add a little tzatziki sauce taken from tofu or even hemp! Not my cup of tea, but clearly it’s very popular!
