Nikki Sixx and the Graphic Analogy of What It Was Like Being in Motley Crue in 1987
Look, there’s no way around this one. We’re going to briefly discuss Nikki Sixx‘s junk. Either strap in or get off this ride.
Sixx is in the middle of a press blitz in the lead-up to the March 22 premiere of the film adaptation of the Motley Crue memoir The Dirt on Netflix and the new Crue track appropriately titled “The Dirt.” Among the outlets he spoke with was USA Today, where he went into detail how he and his wife, Courtney Bingham, are expecting their first child together despite having a vasectomy in 2007 (after he divorced his second wife, Donna D’Errico).
After mulling over whether to have a vasectomy reversal, Sixx decided to have a “sperm-retrieval procedure” instead, with Bingham being artificially inseminated.
“They just had to take it out of me – that’s no party getting your (testicles) cut open,” said Sixx. “Getting your (testicles) cut open is like being in Motley Crue in 1987. It’s the same feeling. But now she’s pregnant, and we’re super excited.”
One more time for the people in the back: “Getting your (testicles) cut open is like being in Motley Crue in 1987.”
Side note: In 1987, Sixx infamously overdosed on heroin and required a shot of adrenaline in his heart to be brought back to life, which inspired the song “Kickstart My Heart.” This new quote will certainly give new context for when the overdose is reenacted in The Dirt.
It will also paint a lovely picture for Sixx and Bingham’s daughter when she eventually finds this quote in a Google search once she’s old enough to peruse the internet. Hopefully, mom and dad will consider some very specific parental control settings in the future.
