Parade For The Henderson Little League Team Is Set
Last month we were all clued to our tv’s, but now the parade for the Henderson Little League team is set! Representing Nevada, the team from Henderson lost their first game, but won the next two before being eliminated by Tennessee. Through qualifying and making it to Williamsport, the boys from Henderson did a great job of representing their home state on a world stage.
The team got beat in the opening round, but quickly rebounded with two solid wins! After that, they it was win out or go home. Despite being eliminated, the team claimed it’s spot as one of the six best little league teams in the country! Henderson mayor Michelle Romero congratulated the team and their coaches after the tough loss.
It’s time for a parade to celebrate the Henderson Little League!
Keep in mind that the team from Henderson was only the second team from the Silver State to make it to the Little League World Series! Mountain Ridge did it just a few years ago making history as the first team to go back in 2014.
But now the time has come to let Southern Nevada congratulate the team with a parade!
It is set for this Saturday, September 9th starting at 10am. According to the City of Henderson, the parade will move through downtown starting at Mission Hills Park at 10am. The parade will then make it’s way through the streets of Henderson ending up at Water Street Plaza about 10:30am. There, the mayor will present a proclamation to the team and coaches. There will also be music, ballpark food, Foam Frenzy and more!
The weather is going to be perfect, so be sure to make your signs and bring out the entire family. This is the time to celebrate the Henderson Little League and the area is welcome to be there on Saturday morning! We will see you there!
