Stanford students got together to create glasses that will help you have a conversation during a date or possible job interview! Now, before you get all excited and wonder how you can get your hands on a pair, there’s still a bunch of bugs to work out. They’re also not very aesthetic.
The students use ChatGPT to the A.I. powered glasses help you have conversations. If you were to take these glasses out on a date, know you would get a lot of weird looks from people, including your date. They’re a basic pair of reading glasses, but with a huge clear monocle on the right lens.
The glasses uses a speech-recognition program that listens to what the other person has to say. Then it creates replies for you to read. That monocle lens then displays it right in front of your eye.
For now, they need to give it information to generate responses, but they’re saying in the future, when someone talks to you, it can pull up social media accounts and pages to give you better responses and information on the person you’re chatting with. That’s SCARY!
The one feature everyone will love about these glasses though, it has facial recognition. When someone walks up to you, it will tell you their name!
Would you use these if they were available? Cool thing to have but also a little scary. We have more on this story and others in today’s edition of a Few Things You Should Know!
