What Do You Do With $1.5 Million In Chicken Wings
A sixty-six year old woman, Vera Liddell was working as a “food service director” at a school district in Illinois. She was arrested though for stealing $1.5 million dollars worth of chicken wings!
We know the big game is coming up and chicken wings are a fan favorite for snacking, but that much chicken wings? Vera has worked at the school district for over a decade. During the pandemic, she started to over order chicken, then she would pick it up herself instead of have it delivered. She even used the district cargo van to pick them up.
Did the school ever see one of those chicken wings? Absolutely not. They never made it back to the school.
Vera was eventually caught because of all the foods she could have ordered that the school actually serves, she chose chicken wings, which the schools don’t serve because it contains bones.
It’s unclear why she did this or what she had planned to do with all those chicken wings, but now she can’t do anything with them! She’s currently being held on a $150,000 bond!
