Watch Comedy: Jerry Seinfeld On Halloween Candy
Are you all stocked up on Halloween candy for the trick-or-treaters tonight? It’s pretty much every child’s favorite holiday, except for Christmas. You get to dress up as your favorite super hero or your favorite fairy tale character. You go from house to house, or apartment to apartment, and all you have to say is “Trick Or Treat” and people just hand over free candy! When you’re just a kid, the concept pretty much blows your mind.
Now, as adults, Halloween may become more of a situation where you live vicariously through the joy of your own kids getting all that free candy. Plus, now you have to pay to stock up on the sweet stuff for all the kids who are going to be ringing your doorbell. But, I bet you still have your favorite candy. I know I do (it’s Almond Joy – frozen), and we always stock up a little more on that item so that there is hopefully some left over after Halloween so I can munch out. Candy and costumes. That’s what the holiday is all about for kids…or the kid in you.
I love comedy. I really admire the talent of great stand-up comics. I think what they do is incredible. On the radio, I do what I do in a closed-door studio. I never see the audience. Stand-up comedians have to make people laugh while they are looking them right in the eye. It’s do or die. It takes guts, and great comedic chops.
So, I thought I would share some great stand-up comedy with you every Monday. Why? Because it’s Monday! Everyone could use a good laugh on Monday. So, here we go with our next installment.
It’s legendary comedian Jerry Seinfeld doing stand-up in his hometown of New York City back in the day. He recounts his childhood memories of Halloween, costumes, and candy! Enjoy!
