Hearts Alive Adoptables Of The Week
GRACIE
Is “pure love” a recognized dog breed? If not, it should be as that’s the only way to describe the Hearts Alive Village Adoptable Dog of the week. When we pulled Gracie from the shelter, she was listed as 13-years-old, but our vets believe she is between 9 and 10. Although she tops 100 lbs, she is in every sense of the word GRACE. Her life before is a distant memory and she faces each day with joy and love. She’s good with people, children, other dogs, and cats. We can’t imagine the gentle giant meeting anyone she doesn’t like. She’s an old soul and her relaxed nature brings a welcome energy in these turbulent times. Gracie is holding down the fort at Oldies But Goodies, finding joy in visits from friends, loving storytime, and soaking up all the love she can possibly get. If you’re interested in adopting her, stop by the store at 1750 S. Rainbow Blvd # 9. Honestly, even if you can’t adopt her, you need a little Gracie in your life. Stop in and take a Gracie Break.
WINKY & PORSCHE
Love matches happen every day here at Hearts Alive Village as our dogs and cats find their purrfect families. However, it’s not very often that our animals find love with one another.
Winky and Porsche didn’t come to the rescue together. Yet, when they found themselves in our Cat Cottage, they became quick friends and began spending a bit of time together. When they were each adopted (into separate homes), they kept in touch, sneaking onto their humans’ computers to send emails and mail order catnip mice while their parents slept.
But then, by some twist of fate, both kitties were returned! Through no fault of their own, their adopted families just weren’t the right fit and back to the Cat Cottage they went.
That’s when it happened. Winky, a 3-year-old boy, was reunited with Porsche, a 3-year-old girl who has already had a litter of kitten and is wise beyond her years (and fixed… she’s now fixed). They spend all their time together, take comfort in one another’s presence, and elicit “awwwws” the moment they come into view. We’re not saying these two are bonded… but… if you have it in your heart to adopt them together, it would provide the perfect ending to their little love story. You can meet them both at the Cat Cottage inside the Hearts Alive Village Adoption Center and Pet Supply Store – 1750 S. Rainbow Blvd # 4. Stop in today and feel the love.
Thank you!!!
