I totally thought that I was being frugal/clever when I first did this because I had run out of bread. Truth be told, I like having peanut butter and strawberry preserves better on a waffle than on toast! Plus, it’s so quick to make, you literally can just make the waffles, swipe your bread with the peanut butter and jelly/preserves, and run out the door. Some people even add fruit like bananas. Plus the peanut butter adds the protein.
