New Year’s Eve Road Closures 2019
Las Vegas New Year’s Eve Closures:
5:00pm – I-15 ramps both northbound and southbound will be closed at Tropicana, Flamingo and Spring Mountain, between 5:00 p.m. New Year’s Eve to about 3:45 am on 1/1.
5:45pm – Vehicles will be prohibited on surface streets at the following sections: on Tropicana between Koval and the Industrial/Dean Martin, on Flamingo between the Strip and Valley View. You won’t be able to turn south onto the strip from Sahara, in either direction. Sahara eastbound between I-15 and the Strip will be very slow due to a lane closure. Between Sahara and Mandalay Bay Road, you won’t be able to drive to the strip from Koval, Sands, Harmon or Reno. All of these surface streets will reopen to vehicles at 3:30am on 1/1.
6:45pm – The strip will open to all pedestrian traffic around 6:45pm. Between 6:45 and 7:00, all moving walkways, elevators and escalators will be closed. All pedestrian traffic will be diverted to the strip.
