Paulina Porizkova Responds to Being Written Out of Ric Ocasek’s Will
As reports surfaced about not being in Ric Ocasek‘s will, Paulina Porizkova took to Instagram to respond.
“I’ve known about the will since the day after Ric passed,” wrote Porizkova. “All you have heard from me since- is inspite of that. #loveneverdies”
Per Page Six, Ocasek updated and signed his will on August 28, less than a month before his sudden passing. In the now-public documents, Ocasek wrote, “I have made no provision for my wife Paulina Porizkova (“Paulina”) as we are in the process of divorcing…Even if I should die before our divorce is final … Paulina is not entitled to any elective share … because she has abandoned me.”
Despite this statement, Porizkova was caring for Ocasek following surgery when he died. She shared in a statement following his death, “Ric was at home recuperating very well after surgery. Our two sons, Jonathan and Oliver, and I were making sure he was comfortable, ordering food and watching TV together. I found him still asleep when bringing him his Sunday morning coffee. I touched his cheek to rouse him. It was then I realized that during the night he had peacefully passed on.”
Ocasek died on September 15. New York City’s Medical Examiners Office determined he died from natural causes related to heart disease
