John Mulaney Recalls Mick Jagger Telling Him He’s “Not Funny”
John Mulaney‘s Netflix special Kid Gorgeous is full of hilarious stories and other anecdotes, but his tale about working with Mick Jagger when he was a writer for Saturday Night Live is truly something spectacular.
In the clip below recently released on Netflix’s YouTube channel, Mulaney says of working with Jagger, “I pitched him a joke, and he went, ‘NOT FUNNY!’ I mean, people say that on the internet, but never to your face does a British billionaire in leather pants go, ‘NOT FUNNY!'”
Mulaney then recalls spending two hours with Jagger writing a song for a sketch, and apparently, the songwriting process for Mulaney was a little unique. Honestly, just watch the video below to see how everything plays out. It provides for a great laugh.
