Whataburger Finally Makes It To Las Vegas (Again)
For some this is amazing, but not for those of us that have live here for any length of time, Whataburger is finally making it back to Las Vegas…again! This popped up on The Mike & Carla Morning Show this morning that the famous hamburger chain is finally opening a place on the Las Vegas Strip. According to Whataburger, it’ll be at 3752 Las Vegas Boulevard, inside the luxurious Waldorf Astoria.
Back in the 70s, the franchise actually had a couple of locations here in town. One was on the corner of Maryland Parkway and Flamingo. Then they were gone. And so for the longest time fans of the burger joint were hoping for a resurgence. Well, apparently that time has come and the opening only a couple of weeks away!
According to a report on Fox5 Vegas, from last year, the burger joint will employ a little over 200 people. They will stay open 24/7 and this will be the first of more to come!
Listen, the city has grown in leaps and bounds for the past couple of decades. New hotels, professional sports teams…as well as burger chains coming to Vegas! You might remember when In-n-Out Burger was just a dream to most. The closest one being in Hesperia, California, but now the franchise has over a dozen locations throughout the valley.
Being from the Midwest, I was always hoping for White Castle to show up and now we have 3 in town. We all remember the grand opening of the first one on the strip. The expectations were so high and the lines so long that they actually ran out of food the first day! Maybe not the most delectable, but there they have a “unique” taste at the right time of the night.
It just seems as the city grows, everyone and every place wants to be apart of the Vegas landscape. Listen to the segment from this morning. We come to find out that not everyone on The M&C Morning Show a fan of Whataburger, but considering…it’s still a great burger! So, welcome back to Las Vegas!
