Tequila Lovers Go Underground
Tequila lovers are going underground to enjoy some of the finest agave-based cocktails, shots, munchies, and music.
According to Johnathan L. Wright and the Las Vegas Review-Journal, a brand new underground bar is opening tonight (September 15, 2022) underneath Wally’s Wine & Spirits in Resorts World Las Vegas on The Strip.
It is named Jalisco Underground, and proprietors say it “draws inspiration from a Mexico City tequileria, but with a Vegas twist.” And, it is opening just in time for the Mexican Independence Day celebrations.
According to the Jalisco Underground website, they promise to transport guests into the Mexico City underground tequila culture by serving up hand-crafted cocktails, including a “24-Carat Margarita!” Or, you can just sip on high-end tequilas.
Getting hungry? Per the Las Vegas Review-Journal, you can dine on “decadent bar bites,” such as the “Hundred-Dollar Nachos, built from roasted suckling pig, truffle queso and Siberian caviar.” Wow! I don’t know if I can afford it, but I would sure like to try it. I doubt they are giving away freebies in an opulent bar such as this. Well, maybe I can afford the lobster-stuffed quesadilla or the grilled octopus tacos instead. Very unique menu if you ask me.
The Jalisco Underground website also shows that while you and your friends are drinking and dining, you will be hearing “modern Mexican music, Latin DJ’s and pure Rock ‘n’ Roll.”
If you plan on celebrating Mexican Independence Day this weekend, this sure sounds like one of the great places to party. Plus, it’s always more fun to go underground for your entertainment. Enjoy!
