All you have to do is “snap a photo or a selfie of your killer smile and epic facial hair. The annual event known as “Movember” began as a way to help raise awareness for men’s health issues. In 1999, a group of guys in Adelaide, South Australia came up with the idea of growing mustaches during November to raise money for charity. Per Wikipedia.org, they coined the term “Movember” as “mo” is slang for mustache in Australia.
Movember soon became a worldwide phenomenon. Here in the U.S.A., the movement started in 2003. According to the Movember website, “30 Mo Bros” initially began their campaign here in the United States. Fast forward twenty years and they say over 6 million people take part in this annual fund-raising tradition. It is “a movement that has since funded over 1,320 men’s health projects around the world.”
