Will you share your food with someone you're dining with? If you say it's ok, then it's ok. But what about if they just reach over and take a French fry, or a taste of your ice cream?

Most People Don't Want To Share Their Food

I admit, am very guilty of this. I'm not a big French fry eater, but sometimes I just want one or two. And I will do the reach, and take one. I know, I know... But I'll usually preface it by saying, "I don't want to be rude, but I'm going to steal one of your fries." Like when I took food off Mike O'Brian's plate.

I know, it really is rude. My dad used to do it, so it didn't bother me. But it bothered my mom.

A poll from StudyFinds.org found the top foods that we do not want to share which include fries, pizza, ice cream, and chocolate. All very shareable - but you don't want to.

Half of us would be very annoyed if a friend snagged a fry - like I have done - off our plate without at least asking first. Which I also do. If you're at a restaurant and a friend snags a fry off your plate, is that cool? Or are you immediately reassessing your friendship with that person?

Around one in ten people say they won't share under any circumstances. You might remember that Joey had a whole plotline about this on "Friends."

Buy Your Own Food - And Stop Stealing Mine

A lot of people would rather just buy someone their own helping, rather than share with them. A couple of our Mike and Carla Morning Show listeners suggested that. And then the thief pays. Ooooooh - cold!

Several people said it's caused an argument before, and others have physically stopped someone from stealing food. Like by moving the plate or grabbing or smacking their hand. Yes - it has happened to me - I mean the smacking.

Part Of This Is Just Old Fashioned Food Envy

But there are nice people, who will always let someone snag a fry, or a bite, but that doesn't mean they're always cool with it. Many said they just do it to be polite. Apparently a lot of people deal with "food envy." This is where you wish you ordered what someone else ordered.

Overall - most people say MITTS OFF when it comes to their food, on their plate!

More on this story, and others, in today’s edition of "A Few Things You Should Know."

What Some People Will NOT Put On French Fries

The discussion has always been what fast food places offer up the BEST French Fries and that debate can go on forever. But what are you willing to put on your fries to make them even that much better. Well, it's a good question, but then to find out what some people will NOT put on their French fries is a totally different conversation.

Now keep in mind all the types of fries there are to dive into! Curly, Waffle, Crinkle Cut, Cottage fries and much more!

However, according to a poll on Reddit, they wanted to know how people ate their French fries from...especially when the fries came from McDonalds.  A lot of people will agree that when it comes to fries, the Golden Arches score very high. But it was pretty amazing at how some fans are very specific about what they are will to add to the fried potatoes to make them that much better.

A little over 6% said they had to dip them in a sweet and sour sauce. Most kids would tell you that dipping them in a chocolate shake isn't bad either. But what is the one thing that some said they would NEVER add to their French fries to add to the taste? While some fans were a little shocked by this, it might have something to do with their health!

2% of those that added to the poll said that they prefer their fries WITHOUT SALT! It's like WHAT? But we get it...some people just don't like salt on anything. Now keep in mind you can always ask for French fries without salt at any place.

So what are the Top 3 condiments that people like to eat their French fries with? Hmmmm...scroll down a little further to find out. By the way, mark July 13th on your calendar...National French Fry Day!
