The Little Mermaid Playing Now At Spring Mountain Ranch
After a long wait for local fans, Disney’s The Little Mermaid live show is finally open at Spring Mountain Ranch’s Super Summer Theatre. Presented by Huntsman Entertainment, the show opened on June 5 and performances will run through June 29. This is the first show in the Super Summer Theatre series for 2024.
The Little Mermaid Joins A Long History Of Great Theater
Spring Mountain Ranch is one of Nevada’s state parks and has been hosting live theater since 1976, according to supersummertheatre.org. It’s a unique place for a city that has so many indoor concert venues. It gives guests a chance to see theater under the stars, nestled up against the Red Rock Canyon. Theatre-goers drive into the park down a simple road and are suddenly surrounded by wild burros and desert trees.
But just because the surroundings are wild doesn’t mean the shows are. All of the productions at Super Summer Theatre are very high-quality. They bring together Southern Nevada’s best talent, both on the stage and behind it. And the theatre company is recognized by Broadway World.
Huntsman Entertainment announced the cast for The Little Mermaid on their TikTok page. The line-up includes Naree Asherian as Ariel, Stephanie Sanchez as Ursula, and Jeremy Ines as Prince Eric. Plus a full cast of supporting actors and ensemble.

Super Summer Theatre prides itself on providing family-friendly shows to the Las Vegas community. And at a price you won’t find in many places within the city limits. Tickets for The Little Mermaid start at just $20 for general admission. Locals love to come out to the ranch with goodies, throw a blanket down, and enjoy the show with a picnic. But patrons don’t have to bring their own food as there are concessions stands or food trucks on site.
Parking for The Little Mermaid opens at 5 p.m. and meadow seating begins at 6 p.m. There will be plenty of time to get settled in as the show doesn’t start until 8:05 p.m. It’s encouraged to get there early if you have general admission seating so you can get closer to the state. VIP seating is available as well and can be purchased here.

School of Rock The Musical is the next show in the Super Summer Theatre 2024 season. It will open on July 17 and will run through August 10. The season will close with a Gentleman’s Guide To Love And Murder, which will open on August 29 and run through September 21.

A vacation rental platform called Lake.com recently conducted a survey to determine what the most underrated national parks are in the country. They did this by looking at data from the last year from NPS, specifically which parks had fewer than 750,000 visitors. Combining this with the number of visitor reviews and ratings, the experts came up with the top parks considered hidden gems in America.
#1 – North Cascades National Park
Located in Washington State, North Cascades is officially the most underrated national park, according to the study. It is 500,000 acres of lakes, forests and snowy mountains to explore.
#2 – Isle Royale National Park
The second most underrated national park in America was deemed to be Isle Royale in Michigan. Located near Lake Superior, the park is a popular spot for campers and hikers.
#3 – Dry Tortugas National Park
The title of third most underrated national park went to Dry Tortugas. Located in Key West, Florida. The area is just seven islands accessible only by plane or boat. The park is mostly water.
The fourth and fifth national parks considered the most underrated in the study are Gates of The Arctic and Wrangell-St. Elias, respectivly. Both parks are located in Alaska and known for their scenic rivers and artic beauty.
#6 – Great Basin National Park
As mentioned before, Death Valley National Park is the more popular of the preserved areas in the Silver State. It’s the other Nevada national park that doesn’t get nearly enough attention. Great Basin National Park is located on the eastern border of Nevada, just west of Sevier Lake, Utah. Much like Death Valley National Park, Great Basin is a popular spot for campers because of the amazing views of the stars at night.
But unlike Death Valley, Great Basin National Park offers a lot of really cool caves to explore. The Lehman Caves are full of beautiful formations of stalactites and stalagmites. According to nps.gov, the Lehman Caves are the longest cave system in the Silver State and have been providing guided tours to visitors since 1885.
Great Basin National Park is also home to the 13,063-foot summit of Wheeler Peak. A highly coveted place for photographers because of the amazing views and beautiful bristlecone pine trees that cover much of the park. And much like Death Valley, Great Basin shows off a lot of Nevada’s history. The area has been home to native Americans for thousands of years, and still shows signs of more recent settlers as well.
